It seems to me that there are three basic rules that make for a good spanking video: the story must be believable; the performances must appear genuine; and the 'punishments' must be firmly applied and obviously painful. I know these won't be everyone's set of rules, but they're certainly mine.

It is always necessary, of course, to suspend a certain amount of disbelief: young girls are not smacked by their fathers or uncles; schoolgirls are not slippered by teachers; maids are not strapped by their mistresses; secretaries are not caned by their bosses.

But it is possible to believe that, at some time in the past, schoolgirls were disciplined in such a way, and that a maid or a secretary might volunteer, in the right circumstances, to take a punishment for some wrongdoing instead of being sacked and/or reported to the police, for example.

Margaret Stone's book The Corporal Punishment of Schoolgirls contains countless records of actual punishments in girls' schools, many of which were carried out by male teachers who, in some cases, were seeking what the author describes as "improper gratification". We know that, at one time, schoolgirls were smacked by men, and we can believe in a scenario depicting such an act. (It's actually my favourite.)

Likewise, there are many well-documented cases of young women who have agreed to a punishment from their employers. Two fairly recent cases spring to mind: a driving instructor who smacked at least two of his students; and a dentist who smacked his receptionist. So, again, a scenario of this kind has a degree of authenticity and plausibility that allows us to believe that it could actually happen.

It is also possible to believe in a not too distant, less politically correct past when girls were subject to punishments at home, and were smacked by 'caring' and 'responsible' mums/dads/aunts/uncles.

We also have to believe in the characters and the men and women playing them. The dominant players, male or female, must appear calm and authoritative, and the girls must be wholly obedient and give every appearance of being genuinely scared of what's about to happen to them. It's this that makes it all seem real.

One thing that certainly isn't realistic - for me, anyway - is any kind of touching or interfering with the girls. I think it's inappropriate. I accept that it's an aspect that men may enjoy, and that's fine; but I just don't like it. It's not part of my fantasy, that's all.

The final ingredient is that the 'punishments' should be hard enough to produce a genuine reaction from the girl involved. I know this won't make me very popular, but to me it's essential. It has to be obvious that the smacking, or whatever, is actually hurting the actress to the point where she wants it to stop, because that's when you get the right reaction.

SALLY'S FIRST LESSON

This is one of my favourite examples of how to make a good spanking video. The setting is lovely, the performances are genuinely believable, the punishments are firm enough, and the relationship between 'Sally' and her 'tutor' is electrifying.

The film opens with Sally getting off a bus and crossing the road to her tutor's house for some extracurricular lessons. She's wearing a proper school uniform (OK, schoolgirls don't go around in very short games skirts, but I'm prepared to forgive that) and she looks genuinely apprehensive as she climbs the stairs and knocks on the door.

Another girl is already in the study, and the increasingly nervous Sally can hear what's going on all too plainly. When she is admitted to the room, Sally sees for herself that the tutor's idea of punishment does not involve detention or lines, and knows from this point on that her fate is sealed.

The other girl, also in uniform, is being caned across the desk. The strokes are not particularly hard, but the girl's shrieks seem genuine enough. It all nosedives a bit here, as far as I'm concerned, because she is stripped down to her socks. It's the only aspect that I find unrealistic, I'm afraid.

Anyway, when Sally is finally ushered into the room the film really takes off. She is so palpably nervous that that I actually feel sorry for her, and the tutor's authority and command of the situation is simply delicious. She is first of all told to remember three all-important rules: she must always refer to the tutor as "Sir", she must always stand up when she addresses him, and she must always slip her knickers down.

Sally forgets the last rule on the first occasion and is reminded of her need to concentrate by being made to bend over her desk and take half a dozen firm smacks on her bare bottom. This is done several times as Sally is taken through a spelling test in which she is smacked once for every letter of a misspelled word. It is a delicious cycle of standing up, taking her knickers down, bending over, taking the smacks, pulling her knickers up and sitting down again which is repeated until she has learned the words properly.

The second phase involves Sally having to learn a short poem whilst bent over the tutor's lap. She is spanked several times as she struggles to remember the words in what is, for me, a very sexy scene. The actress clearly finds it painful and distressing, and it makes the sequence perfect.

Lastly, Sally is made to kneel on her chair and bend over the desk to be caned. The strokes are not that hard, but the actress is obviously scared of the dreaded implement and it's a very exciting scene. There's no cruelty, which I absolutely detest, but there is genuine pain and fear, and it's just lovely.

Sally's First Lesson is quite an old video, I think, and they usually seem a lot better to me. It's an old-fashioned depiction of an old-fashioned punishment, and much the better for it.

Editor's note: I usually don't include reviews of websites here because it's not what the site is about. This one is an exception though because the site includes videos not available at this time on VHS and because the reviewer is a trusted aquaintance.

The site is devoted to spankings, and has some exclusive content, as advertised. The site is well advertised across the net, and is a pay site with recurring billing on a monthly basis. The cost was $15 US per month. Here is what you get. The site layout gives you a series of choices of stills and realmedia video snippets from which to pick. Of these, several are of the webmistress getting punished and several are of her giving punishments to others, both male and female. There are also a number of short snippets taken from other artists, and these are sort of like ads for the other artists films. While the site boasts to have over 400 videos, there are actually maybe that many snippets from films, but hardly that many full length videos shown. It would have been somewhat of a surprise had there been 400 actual full length videos on the site. Most of the stills and the videos were showing good action though, so it was not as disappointing as it could have been. The good news is that Alex gets swatted rather hard in several of the segments that she has, and it is rather nicely done. She is a young girl with a drop-dead killer body and you get to see her take over fifty swats with a paddle in one set of snippets... WOW! The sad part is that you don't get much in the way of facial shots, as she choses to remain annonymous. The really sad part is the lack of VHS tapes of her getting smartly swatted with that wooden paddle! However, the artistry is worth the bucks, and there is a bit of a twist, as she is in several segments doing different types of spankings, from paddles and OTK to the cane and belt. She also shows you some great stills of her bare ass the next day, and it is nicely bruised on both ass cheeks. There is no doubt that she is sore. If you like young, pretty girls getting hard swats and crying, this is for you! It is noy quite as intense as the Rigid East films, but it verges on the same level. I really want to see her get that belt or cane on her bare butt rather than over clothing, but as hard as that belt lit her ass on fire, having pants on may have been a good idea! She bruised right through her jeans!

In summary, the site is good for a few really nice realmedia clips of Alex getting spanked. She is quite cute, and she gets swatted quite hard. The clips from Magnum video and Rigid East that are on the site are fine to watch, but don't justify spending much time there. If she sold VHS full length videos they would be "must haves" for all spanking fans! As it is, you will enjoy the clips of her and will love the "after" stills. The jury is still out on the content on a long term basis, but if she gets a bare bottom caning as hard as those of Rigid East (and from the paddling she gets, she might try it), we will have to all beg her to make tapes! I must recommend the site for at least a month or so.

Well i got one of the WAC videos i ordered "Unfaithful: I wish i could type well enough to write a review..in any case it basically sucked..poor lighting...and very slow paced, not much in the way of spanking either...minor hand and and then paddle...the cane was applied but with long breaks between strokes, and usually not very hard...worst of all virtually no face shots...on the good side the begininng was erotic..also the adverts for the flick say there is oral sex..my copy ended without any..possibly just a poorly made copy or they dont want to mix sex and spanking for the USA versions... Dont waste your mobey but.. the trailers for other WAC's shown after the main one looked GOOD I have oredered Cruel canings and the F-F military discpline one...if they ever show up

This is the second in Rigid Eastšs new ŗHeadmaster˛ series. Like Note for Absence it is set in the Headmasteršs study which is clearly the command centre of a strict school for young ladies. The four canes on a rack, and the religious statuary on the walls, guarantee that discipline will be maintained under the lash. In this episode the carpet beater has disappeared from the hat stand, but the birch is still being pickled in an urn. The desk and ceiling lights have now been wired up, and the latter reflect off the headmasteršs bald dome as he applies the cane.

The head is enjoying a quiet smoke early one Monday morning when Ludmila enters the room with a note from her Sunday School teacher: she has dared to question the Immaculate Conception and has cited as evidence her intimate knowledge of the means by which her sisteršs new baby was conceived. Despite being accused of such a heinous offence she exhibits a very insolent manner which will have to be thrashed out of her. She is awarded seven strokes for each of her various sins of omission and commission but is so cheeky that she soon talks the punishment up to ten, then twelve, strokes for each offence. Even when faced with fifty lashes, as she bends over the punishment bench, in reply to a modest remark by the headmaster that he has never understood the complexities of womensš underclothes (Ludmila has just undone hers to bare her bottom for the cane) she makes a cheeky comment - ŗThat does not surprise me!˛ - about his manliness. Being a gentleman he affects not to hear.

Ludmila is bound in place by the wide leather straps and buckles, and like all the cheekiest girls, howls continuously from the first stroke (unlike Maria in Note for Absence who screams for each stroke and sobs quietly between them). Ludmila who is taller than Maria struggles against her bonds but they are well up to the task of keeping her and her bottom in the path of the cane no matter how vigorously it is swung (and by the end of the film it is being swung hard enough to dislodge any silly notions Ludmila has about the Virgin Mary). Being taller, Ludmilašs legs are bent at the knees so that her feet lash about and drum on the floor. She tends to clench her fists rather than grip the legs of the whipping bench. Near the end there is a brief glimpse of her left wrist as she kneels before a crucifix and we can see some reddening where the skin has been scuffed by the restraining strap - no silly fur-lined restraints are used in this school.

For those who are interested in the effect a whipping has on nearby erogenous zones there are excellent cunt shots in which the percipient will detect some enlargement of the labia minora with the tip of the clitoris, or the hood, peeping out below, increasing rather than diminishing, as Ludmilašs bottom reddens and purples under the cane. For some of these views the camera seems to be between the naughty girlšs ankles, a rather dangerous position, given the way she lashes about with her feet, but it provides a simultaneous view of her bottom, cunt, and contorted face, as the cane makes contact. There is a fair amount of wobbling in the bottom cheeks, not all of which occurs in the immediate wake of the cane: some, between strokes, accompanied with additional vibration in the thighs, is definitely either an involuntary nervous reaction, or orgasmic. If the latter, Ludmila is not enjoying it - her howling continues undiminished.

By the time the headmaster is finished with the cane and is taking some photographs for the delectation of the Vicar and a ŗDr Schertal˛, who is compiling an illustrated book on corporal punishment, Ludmilašs bottom is covered in purple stripes, with blood visible at three or four places where the cane (the thinnest on the rack but with sharpest cutting action) has crossed and recrossed. We can look forward to seeing the bruise marks which these deeper cuts will leave behind as they will last three or four months and Rigid East already have a further two films in the series in production for release in October. These marks will be additional to the trophies she exhibits as she first bares her bottom in Cathechism when we see the deeper residue of what she suffered as the Maid in Fairy Tale. A girl who needs, and an actress who can take, the cane like this should have a permanent contract with the studio.

Once again in this new series Rigid East have provided us with an authentic professional production which, as an instructive demonstration of how corporal punishment should be allocated and applied, and its aftereffects, cannot be faulted.

Warning: view this film and you will want to destroy your complete cp video collection, so disenchanted you will be with all earlier offerings (including some even from Rigid East).

A Note for Absence is the first in a new series of a planned dozen or more films set in the ŗheadmasteršs study˛. Unlike previous productions from this studio (in which some very genuine canings are inflicted in unconvincing surroundings - what reform school worth its name uses a domestic lounge as its punishment room?) this new series promises authenticity, with professionalism in scripting, production, and direction, while sticking to the studiošs mission statement - the modification of the behaviour of girls and young ladies by the application of severe corporal punishment. And, as always from Rigid East, much to exercise onešs prurience but no sexual activity.

The period depicted is turn of the century (c.1900) central europe (not Czechoslovakia which was carved out of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and only came into existence following the First World War) when skirts were long and domestic electric lighting was still being developed - a nice touch, added in The Catechism, the second film in the series, is the surface wiring between the old-style wall switch and the ceiling light fitting. The set is a simple box one, but quite large, with polished wood floor (on which the punishment bench slips a little as the caning reaches full force), and period wallpaper. Religious statuary and images are much in evidence guaranteeing that God in his mercy will ensure that discipline is strictly maintained, preferably under the lash. Prominent alongside the headmasteršs desk is a rack of four canes of various thicknesses. A carpet beater hangs from the bent wood coat stand, and the handle of a huge birch sticks out of a jar in which its business end is no doubt being pickled. In the centre of the room stands the punishment bench complete with broad leather straps and buckles for securing the wrists, waist, and legs (sufficient for restraint under the cane, but no silly bondage).

The story is a simple one. Maria has forged her fatheršs signature on an absence note. As the fifty stroke caning occupies only 14 minutes of the 30 minute running time there is quite a bit of build up business at the beginning: Maria does not enter the headmasteršs room in a sufficiently obsequious manner and has to do it more than once until she gets it right. The punishment for forgery is expulsion but in the face of Mariašs avowal that her father would kill her this is modified to fifty strokes of the cane. She has to use a chamber pot before the caning commences. The dialogue is in Czech but Rigid Eastšs web site provides a ŗComic Strip˛ containing captioned stills (in English and German) from the film so that the general line of the story can be understood. The web site also shows around fifty stills without captions, but up until the release of the new series there were three times as many of higher definition which aided onešs enjoyment of the film, eg it was possible to look for the anus (not visible) and the cunt (sorry ladies there is no other word which adequately describes this area); the latter is fleetingly visible in the film but in shadow. A close examination of the original stills does suggest that under the cane a young womanšs labia minora do enlarge and some may detect the tip of the clitoris peeping out near the end. It is also possible to count the stripes and confirm that every single one was applied during filming.

We know Maria is no stranger to the cane. When she first bares her bottom a widespread suffused bruising is visible. This is explained for the purpose of the film as the residue of a paddling she recently received from her father, but those who have seen the preview stills for The Fairy Tale, also just released by Rigid East, will know that in reality it is the result of a caning she receives while playing a naughty princess. This is confirmed by a very clear stripe on her lower back caused by a misplaced stroke while she kneels at the whipping post in that film. The princessšs maid is whipped in The Fairy Tale too and she plays the pupil in The Catechism which is number two in the headmasteršs study series. The fact that these two young ladies were willing to be chastised till they bled in canings separated by only around a month suggest that corporal punishment, while teaching a sound lesson, does not traumatise psychologically, and that no healthy girl will be dissuaded from coming back for more (persuaded by the fee if filming, or goaded on by her natural mischief in real life).

In contrast with the executioner in The Fairy Tale, the headmaster is left-handed (thus ensuring it is Mariašs other buttock which suffers most from the tip this time) and keeps his right hand in his pocket. Do not be misled by this nonchalant pose. He applies the cane to Maria with steady determination, increasing the force, and the prescribed number of strokes as both she and he lose track of the total, until the viewer can be quite certain that her screams are genuine and owe nothing to drama school. The restraints are an authentic touch for the period and save us wondering whether the bodily reaction is genuine or hamming. Observe how Mariašs fingers grip the front legs, and how her own, secured at the knees spread a little as the cane makes contact. Her head and shoulders spring up with every stroke as she screams and there can be no doubt that these are genuine responses to genuine strokes. The genuineness of the latter is amply demonstrated as the weals redden and turn purple with the surface of the skin breaking as the final dozen strokes are applied. When we next see Maria under the lash we will be able to identify her not by her face but by the marks on her bottom. The red tramlines will have disappeared but the spots where the skin was broken will remain darkened under the surface for months to come (the stills prove this for the pupil in The Catechism as a couple of dark patches on the apex of her right buttock correspond to spots where blood was drawn in The Fairy Tale). And if the stills for The Fairy Tale are any guide both she and her colleague had such fair smooth skins before being cast as princess and maid in that film. But these will be honourable scars, proof that they have provided the connoisseur with some splendid entertainment!

This is a stylish movie which sets new standards for its genre.

Maria's Playroom

I have videos that I enjoy more that were made more recently. But, when I bought this one many years ago, it was easily the best I had seen up to that point. I still watch it.

What makes it stand out? Two factors. The atmosphere is as tense as anything I've seen. Also, the model is the sexiest I've seen so far on a CP video.

It starts with a classically beautiful blonde sitting on a chair in the corner of a bare room. The brunette dom comes in. There is little dialog in this video. The dom says, "I heard you need some discipline. Looks like it's needed". The recipient's demeanor is submissive and crestfallen throughout, she is resigned to her fate, but not happy about it.

She is ordered to stand up and turn around, then to bend over slightly. The dom slowly moves layers of clothing out of the way, while caressing her bottom, eventually getting down to bare skin. After a little while, the blonde is ordered in stark terms to strip naked. She does, and this woman is a knockout. There are Playboy playmates that are not so well built. While I believe she is only slightly older than most CP models, she has high cheekbones, and a mature look, lot's of great curves, a beautiful face, and fantastic breasts. The dom takes her hand by hand off the set, right by the camera.

Next set is the playroom. The set is pretty simple. It looks like a prison cell without the bars, but with punishment implements hanging on the walls. A strength of this video is the tension in the next segment. The dom slowly puts leather cuffs on the naked sub's wrists, and then slowly attaches them to a hook on the ceiling. This beautiful woman is helpless and naked.

The dom takes a sip of wine, and takes off her dress, leaving her in her black underwear. Then, she picks up a martinet. The action is moderate. I have seen much harsher stuff recently produced, however, you can see the red marks expand as the video progresses.

It goes on for a good long while, with a few short breaks for the dom to sip wine. The sub's acting is only ok. She flinches and yells a few times just before being struck. This makes it clear that she is faking to an extent.

Bottom line: If you like harsh stuff, stay away. If atmosphere, a beautiful naked model, and maybe a little bondage are your thing, and you prefer moderate action, this is a good video.

Jerry Springer's Strokes

This video is based on the Jerry Springer show, where guests are encouraged to fight. It starts with two young women in a backstage set. One is a really cute blonde, who plays the naive innocent type. The other is a somewhat tall black girl, with the bad attitude commonly seen on that show. The plotline is that the blonde girl's boyfriend is messing around with the other girl on the side. They exchange words. The last exchange ends with the black girl saying, "I really don't like to be around bitches".

Just thereafter, Jerry comes in. It's the regular caning actor Calstar uses. He tells them that a little confrontation is good, but they really went too far and have to be punished. One of the bouncers was seriously injured.

He sends the black girl out and starts with the blonde. She is a great spanking model because of her slim build, cute face, and tight, nicely round hindquarters. The action is substantial. My one gripe about this one is the editing. After three strokes shown, they zoom in and there are five red stripes. Why not show the other two strokes?

There are several one to three stroke segments which are obviously repeated from a different camera angle. There are no facials. However, there are many extreme closeups which are nice. You can see that this actress is actually getting caned.

Halfway through, he orders her to take off her dress, which she reluctantly does. There are some closeups including her groin. Next shot is a text only scene saying her boyfriend broke in and had to be restrained. Immediately after, they go to another room. She is ordered to undress again. This is the harshest part of the video. I doubt that this video compares with the harsher ones reviewed on this site, but the action is REAL. How real? Her butt is covered with red stripes and about three or four double-edged cane welts. At the very end she starts crying softly. Jerry tells her she is required to walk through the studio naked. She laughs outloud. There are several points where she smiles throughout as if she's looking forward to punishment.

Next, Jerry sends for the other girl. This part is less entertaining for me. The action is still there, but dark brown skin just doen't show results like pale white skin does. Although, it is satisfying to see a bitch with a bad attitude get an attitude adjustment. She is stripped naked halfway through, and leaves with visible swelling and about four double-edged cane welts

Overall, this video is worth checking out. The extreme closeups are a nice touch. Honestly, I usually watch only the first half, but I keep coming back to it. Thumbs up from me.

Ingratitude

Ingratitude is one of the best English CP films I've seen in a long while.

It's set in the Victorian era, and has the appropriate costumes and furnishings. The Master of the house agrees to take on two servant girls to save them from the reformatory. They were sentenced to the reformatory by his brother, the magistrate. He's been told to discipline them as he sees fit.

You'll recognise most of the people in this video if you're familiar with UK CP. They've all done stuff for Red Stripe. The Dom in one of the best in the business, and was in Sister Act and many others. The plump young blonde has a fantastic round bum, and was in New Head Girl and St Stripes. Her long hair is fantastic too. The other girl I recognise from a number of British CP videos. There is a certain amount of 'acting' in this video, but they get away with it.

The duo commit various offences from snooping to theft. They are spanked, hairbrushed, strapped and finally caned. Fans of Victorian bloomers will love this. Gowns are raised and flaps parted to expose vulnerable behinds. The Matron Ms Bainbridge takes care of the otk spankings while the Master does the rest.

The action takes place in two locations: the Master's study and the girls' bedroom. A change of scene really lifts a spanking video. Most of the beatings take place over the Masters's desk in his study. They are caned twice. The second takes place in the girls' bedroom with the girls face down on their shared bed, pillows under their bellies, and their long white nightgowns raised. Good stuff.

Production values are high in this film. It starts in a sepia colour showing the previous maid being punished for dishonesty before being fired. Then it moves into colour. An atmospheric piano score punctuates key moments in the video - I think it's a Liszt piece. The camera work is excellent. You get a good balance of close-ups and mid shots, facials and behind views. You get pussy and anus shots when the girls are caned on their beds.

I can recommend this film to anybody interested in CP. Fans of Victorian settings will love it. The power exchanges are plausable, but of course don't touch the levels achieved by the Czech and Russian films. The film achieves what it set out to do. It looks as though a fair bit of planning and forethought went into it. I haven't heard of Gaslight Productions before, but if Ingratitude is an indicator of future performances, I'll be looking out for them.

Detention House

I was disappointed with Detention House.

The stills from the film on rig-east.com and on dr schertel's site promised so much, the film delivered so little. Most annoying is that many of the still shots we saw were taken from a camera placed behind the girls as they were caned, and include good pussy and anus views. You don't get these in the video. You feel cheated. It's mostly front and side views.

But this isn't the only problem. From very early on Detention House becomes very predictable. One by one the five girls arrive at the House and are checked in. One by one they're taken to a room where they're stripped and handspanked. One by one they're caned over a stool. Once you've got the pattern for each segment there are no surprises. The camera angles stay the same, no variety in the girls' positions. No variety in the Domme's attitudes. Sometimes this approach works, especially when the action is shocking. But the action in Detenion House is not shocking. By rig-east standards it's pretty tame.

The highlights are the handspanking of cute blonde, whose luscious behind will have you drooling. The tall burnette takes a stiff caning very well. All the girls are shaved and you see some nice hairless cracks - but no cunt or anus shots. The long stripe gowns they wear for the canings are great. If you like crying, there's some good wailing.

Rigid East missed an opportunity with Detenion House. The idea is great. The location was atmospheric. No less than FIVE girls to discipline, all attractive in their own way. It should have been as good as Reform School 2, but it falls far short of that classic. Maybe the chemistry was wrong. IL points out in his review on this site that one of the girls, a nicely curved little brunette, was totally unsuitable for the job. I agree. She couldn't take a spanking, never mind a caning. The two Domme's couldn't deal with her, and they lost their authority. The film lost its tension.

Imaginative camera work and editing could have rescued Detention House to some extent. But even these were weak. We don't expect this from Rigid East. They have the ideas, the girls, the history, the expertise, to make great CP films. Detention House along with The Jam are their weakest videos to date - and their most recent. Having said that, they're still above average. But I hope Rigid East haven't lost their edge.

Now this is a schoolgirl video you have to see. Dallas and Tiki went out and bought a schoolgirl uniform complete with socks, shoes, a nice blue tartan skirt, collared shirt and a cashmere sweater. This is another foray into scripted plotlines and their first dedicated schoolgirl theme video, and boy is it a doozy!

Dallas is the dean of discipline at a girl's school, and naughty Tiki appears at his door for her discipline session. They sit down and discuss her misdemeanors, which are many. At this time Tiki seems quite poised, respectful but also demure and submissive, not full of attitude or rude. She accepts her verdict of some harsh CP to correct her errant ways, and finds herself bent over the desk with her skirt up for a taste of the cane. Though Dallas took out two canes he chose the bamboo cane, which he seems to favor. For those of you unfamiliar with bamboo, it is much stiffer and whippier than rattan, but it is also hollow in the center, which offsets some of its weight. Still the bite of bamboo is incredible and is not to be trifled with, and the tramlines are amazing. Also, since bamboo is stiffer it is much less likely for the tip to wrap around the flanks and cause injury, so you can swing it real hard without worries about the tip. Dallas starts off with an astounding 63 strokes of the bamboo cane on Tiki's unprotected bumcheeks, again without warmup. Tiki's only compromise in her uniform was her panties. She wore thong-like panties instead of the cotton "knickers" English schoolgirls use. It provides her with no protection against the cane and we see nice weals form as the caning goes on, but it does serve a purpose. Dallas and Tiki converse back and forth during her caning. This talk has the benefit of confirming that she received all her strokes without any overlapping camera angle tricks you see performed in many videos to water down the number of received strokes. Next, Tiki kneels on a chain in the bedroom bare bottom for the switch. Now I must confess that I have made an aquaintance with Dallas so my reviews may not be completely objective, because I am definitely a big fan (though I receive no financial benefits or incentives from DST for my reviews and if I don't like something I am not shy to point it out). But correspondence yields important information. Tiki is more scared of the switch than the rattan or bamboo, due to an unpleasant childhood experience. This speaks volumes on the importance of psychology in CP. Physical pain from the rattan or bamboo should be more intense than the switch, but a traumatic childhood experience can amplify the pain and fear immensely. So be grateful, Tiki is allowing herself to revisit this mental pain so you can see the switch on her bottom. Dallas chose a seemingly still fresh (vs. dry and dead) switch. I don't know what kind of wood it was from, but it was light and whippy. He used it very liberally on Tiki's bottom, and she endured it with grace and preserverance. Though it seems deceptively bouncy and light, the switch can be used bastinado style with great speed, so Tiki received at least 200 strokes, too many to count properly, in about 8 minutes. By the end the tip of the switch was worn down by the constant use and started to fray. Like a birch, when the tip starts to break so does the skin, and at the end you can see many telltale ruby droplets on Tiki's ass, testimony to the effects of the switch.

But it isn't over yet. Tiki lays over a divan for 50 strokes of the leather strap and another 50-60 with the belt, in signature DST style , i.e. very hard. After all, her father wanted her spanked hard. Now Tiki's demeanour is changing. She is getting playfully cheeky and seems to goad Dallas into more harsh punishment. Tiki's bum starts showing red stripes from the flail, and the whipping is harsh, at least 60 strokes. But a camera catches Tiki's expressions during the whipping, which shows pleasure, bliss and content instead of fear and pain, though Tiki does react to the whiplashes and they are quite painful. You now see she loves CP, it turns her on, and she deviously used CP to ensnare and seduce Dallas. She gets hotter and hotter with the whipping, and you can guess what happens next in the bedroom, though it is not shown. This satisfies CP fantasy number two: the girl loves to be spanked and caned and loves you too, so you can spank her as hard as you want and have your way with her too. The final scene is of Tiki leaving the dean's room, but she pauses at the door while Dallas admonishes her with the words " Behave and be good, and perhaps I will see (spank) you again in the future". This video simply put is the hardest paddling video I have ever seen, and it is nonstop for about a half hour. He starts out by hand OTK on her cute bottom, spanking her hard and fast. He then moves up to using a large leather paddle for the majority of the spanking. She is wearing a thong throughout. This is my only complaint about the video. But her bottom is essentially bared for the entire spanking.

There is restraint - her arms and legs are tied together with cuffs throughout but sometimes he holds her hand behind her back as he beats her. At halfway through the spanking she is tied to a bondage table and paddled even harder. A cane and other devices are briefly used, but this is mostly a hard paddling.

This video is really severe. You can see her struggle hard to get away from the onslaught from the brutal paddling while OTK or lying over the table, but she gets nowhere. At one point she even faints, but he spanks her back to consciousness. Her bottom, although black and blue, does not mark up as much as you would expect given the severity of the punishment. She is a spanking veteran.

After the first half hour the spanking part is over, he tortures her further (on the Slavesex vid) for about a half hour with clamps and weights before receiving oral from her. I usually rewind before this part.

This video is not for the faint of heart, but at those times I want to see severe and fast paddling this can't be beat (pun intended). It features two British stars.

This is DST first stab at producing a video with a storyline, vs. their first two excellent videos which were more shorter discipline scenes in the "Gonzo style". The basic premise is that two girls try to sneak a peak at a famous rock star in his hotel room, but the groupies are discovered, caught, and punished. A new model is introduced in this video, Tanya Hyde (Tan your hide), you get the pun. She is a young woman with quite a nice rear, but never had done CP before. Tiki, of course is Tanya's friend, and she doesn't share Tanya's adoration of star Dallas, whom she calls and "asshole". Well, Dallas takes both girls to a desk, where they bend over for a bare bottom caning with the rattan. Previously Dallas used a bamboo cane so this is the first time he used rattan, but he is also an expert on that. The girls are introduced to Mr. rattan with no warm up, too bad for them but good for us since we get to see nice tramlines forming on their bums. Tanya is first and receives 12 strokes with great poise, but her CP virgin bottom quickly is decorated with raised swollen welts and skin is broken. Then veteran Tiki goes over the table. She is full of cheeky and defiant " 'tude" and of course pays the price, receiving a severe caning, about 3 dozen strokes. She also has nice marks but her seasoned behind is tougher to mark. Compare the girl's caning and you will see a definite difference in treatment, and Tiki gets it real hard.

Next, the girls retire to Dallas' bedroom, where Tiki is still unrepentant. She gets a fairly hard paddling OTK by Tanya with a wooden 1/2"(?) paddle. Tanya is a novice spanker but still spanks harder than many English CP gents. Then the two girls lay over the bed while receiving a hand spanking from Dallas. Again, there is a difference in his severity and while Tanya gets a hard spanking Tiki gets it really hard.

Actually this middle scene is sort of a lull in the action, which picks up again with just the two girls. Tanya decides to show Tiki the error of her ways with a hard and extended OTK paddling. Her first paddle was a 3/4" oval wooden paddle with air holes drilled in it. Then she follows up with a 1" thick bathbrush. The paddling proceeds at a leisurely pace, with plenty of rubbing and caressing of Tiki's bottom in between. But this is deceptive: if you concentrate on the whacks you will actually witness some very very hard paddling, definitely some of the most severe paddle spanks you will see on video. Combined with the heavy wooden paddles, the effect is devestating and only Tiki's incredible bottom could stand up to the onslaught. She gets at least 50 from each implement before the groupies leave Dallas, humbled and adoring (though I wonder about Tiki).

This video is interesting since the action is bimodal, with a kind of rest in between, which may lead some viewers to think that's all there is, only to be surprised later by the F/F action. Essentially this is the first DST video with a F/F CP emphasis, and it works quite well.

One problem about having seen lots of spanking videos is that after seeing a few outstanding ones it is hard to deal with the merely OK ones. Actually, there seems to be a certain cutoff point for me regarding what is considered a "good" CP video, and most of what I demand is consistency. A lot of videos are good in some parts but lacking in others, and I provide a few examples of recent purchases:

1. I saw some trailers on the web for two Paradox productions, "Offender Correction I", and "The Correctional Therapist". The Offender Correction is an older series, and is basically about some institute that uses CP to deal with criminals, a classic spanking scenario. A nurse performs the duties on three girls, with the proper stern stare of disdain at the offenders, and she starts off with a blond, giving her a really sound OTK slippering with a leather shoe. That is the part that made me buy the video. Then she canes the girl, but she uses the cane in a manner with more bark then bite. Though there is a big swish, she basically uses the low end (the 18 inches close to her hand) to cane the girl, loosing most of momentum (usually gathered at the tip) in thin air. While it sounds impressive, this technique is a bit weak and I always felt it sort of a cop-out. The second girl gets a "severe caning" with many strokes but not very hard, again due to technique. The third girl gets a fairly hard martinet whipping but otherwise unremarkable session, with a short caning at the end by a male colleague. Then there were trailers for about 3 other videos at the end. All the action seemed good, but just like in this video there are only one or two scenes that stand out, and I am loath to spend $50 to just see those 5 minutes unless it is mindboggling spectacular. This is the complaint I've always had about Paradox videos. Many English CP videos have pretty hard paddling and caning from beginning to end, which is much more preferable.

"The Correctional Therapist" is a more recent production and is somewhat better. Three girls get spanked, strapped and caned by the same nurse mentioned above. Her hand spankings are crisper and harder, and so are the paddlings and canings, unfortunately there are not many strokes delivered. What I liked was the nurse used a "prison" bamboo, essentially a double rattan birch with thicker shorter rods that gave a good hard whallop, it was a novel implement, but used only for a few strokes. At the end a fourth girl was to be punished, and my hopes got up, but dissapointingly she only got a short paddling. Again, the action was just short of the "great" category, and I really don't like half-hearted CP videos that aren't serious about the action.

On the other hand, there was this "New Paradox" production "The Rent Collector", which was quite nice. It is actually produced by "Cheeky Productions" and only distributed by New Paradox via Paddles online. This video stars the same model seen in the superb "The Price of Infidelity", which I previewed before. She is a nice looking blond with long hair and a nice bottom, but her best trait is a phenomenal pain threshold. Again, she takes a very prolonged beating with hand, paddles, belt and finally the cane, which is applied with the same gusto but with more strokes than in "Infidelity", this video lives up to its " very severe" billing, and though the plot is simplistic it is quite effective.

2. I recently received a mail-order offer of a new series of Russian-produced videos distributed by Raven Hill Studios, with a lot of hype and promotion on the severity etc., which is typical of RHS, but I decided to try out this "exclusive" "Tears from Russia" series. There are 10 volumes offered, and I got volumes 2, 4, 9. Due to some mailing problems it took three weeks to get the videos, which I really looked forward to, but the results are mixed. Volume 9 is about two girl athletes that are punished and trained by their coach. The opening shot has them getting beaten on the soles of their feet by a ruler and a belt. I guess Russians get into this but it doesn't do much for me. Then there is over 15 minutes of PT exercises, which were fast forward material. Finally came the scene I was waiting for, the girls are punished by a strapping. The first girl is bound prostrate on a long bench and a leather double oval paddle is used hard on her ass, leaving quite vivid marks. Obviously the girl is a novice, but she takes quite a few hard strokes before calling it quits. Then the next girl lays on the table, but is not bound and gets a belt spanking, which is much lighter. The girls' expressions are quite genuine, but you could tell the action stopped when each signalled she had enough, so the lack of total action was dissapointing. I was hoping for more Rigid East type discipline, with many girls and little mercy.

Volume 2 was also a bit dissapointing. It is set up in a school, with three pretty schoolgirls. The first is punished by a ruler thrashing on her palm (again, no interest from me), followed by a fairly hard belting while bent over the table with the other girls holding her hands. The next girl is stripped naked and kneels on hands and knees on the desk, first for a rulering on the soles of her feet (whatever), then a 12 stroke caning that does leave some nice welts. The third girl, the prettiest blond, only got some hand spanks while laying on the table, and they were not delivered to each cheek but in between the cheeks. I consider this bad form because to spank a big girls' bottom effectively the palm should be applied to each cheek separately in order to have them feel the full force. Spanking down the middle dissapates the force, which is a cop out, and threatens the genitals, which is no-no for me (pain, not injury is my mantra). The video wraps up with a teacher getting an 18 stroke caning, which was nice but still overall falling quite short of the potential of spanking for four good looking girls.

The only video I really recommend is Volume 4, " KGB Interrogations". In the first seen a reluctant suspect is 1st treated to some S&M bondage with clothes pins (OK), then tied over a table and caned HARD! The girl is a novice, and the editing is obviously somewhat amatuer as you frequently here the director say stop, and once you could see that actress breaking form after the cut is called, so obviously she could take more. They use a different cane, not rattan, but some type of single birch rod which is lighter but very whippy. It makes the most beautifully straight and ordered thin weals, like single tramlines, which are fascinating to see. The girls gets a pretty hard work out, but two other girls from scene 2 get it worse. They are fooling around lesbian style instead of cleaning the General's house, so he decides to cane both. The first girl bends over the sofa arm holding the other girls' hands, and is sentenced to 36 strokes of the cane. She has a good sized bum and gets a hard caning, not 36 strokes by any count, but a lot and with superb weals forming, really good unique marks. What I really like is the girls are commanded to repeat some phrase after each stroke, and while they begin fairly composed, as the whipping gets harder and more painful, their voices get progressively smaller and weak, until they start to break down between sobs. Though there were no expression shots you knew the girls could feel the strokes. It was genuine, and the girls' were CP novices so their bums marked up nicely and with the very 1st stroke. Girl number two was tied laying on her tummy and getting the same 36 stroke sentence. Again, the strokes fell short, but the action, reaction, and welts were worth the effort. The funny thing is that at the end of the canings the director would do a "switch" and quickly replace the birch cane with a heavier bamboo cane for pictures, I guess because they think the rattan is more popular in the West. It is clumsy, but I appreciate the impact of the birch cane just fine. Overall the film quality was fine, so if you are curious about this RHS imported series and are a serious CP fan, Vol #4 "KGB Interrogations" is the one video you should get.

Paddles online magazine has been offering new titles from Paradox, and I was curious about one labeled "very severe". Previous videos from Paradox have all been pretty weak, though the models are nice. But I trusted Paddles since the only other two videos labeled "very severe" were in fact exactly that. So I gave it a try and got " The price for infidelity". The story is simple. A cheating wife is caught by her husband in bed with a boyfriend, and gets punished for it both by her hubby and her boyfriend who didn't know she was married, she lied to him. She got a long spanking by hand, hairbrush, the handle of a bathroom brush, and a strap. The husband lays it on hard and strong and very long. The action was pretty hard, though the boyfriend's performance was a bit weak. The wife was attractrive and got to pose in a lot of nice positions, she was a joy to watch. The only part I thought could have been improved was the final caning. It was very severe, the strokes were hard, but only about 12-18 strokes were given. The wife took the strokes quite well, I'me sure she could take a lot more but alas it was not to be. A sweet surprise was the boyfriend's wife (he lied to) also came to visit and gave the cheating wife a nice encore hand spanking and a strapping. Overall it was quite nice and I hope that the next new Paradox videos will keep up the good work and up the ante, because if they don't they will be outcompeted by Sting in the Tail, the other label Paddles carries, which is still my favored production company.

I never thought much of Pac Force videos since they seemed a bit mild, though their models were really cute. I realized how underappreciated they were when I visited their website and now I have ordered over 6 videos. Not all the videos are up to par, but the action is good though the dynamics are very different from English discipline, meanings lots of OTK spanking, hairbrush, paddles, straps etc, little caning. However, the girls are gorgeous and their bottoms heavenly, especially the beautiful Franseca Le' one of their regular girls. She gets a real good hiding in "Wendy's Punishment", with paddles, hairbrush and a slipper (more like a shoe). But an even better one is a double feature called "All girls get spanked". The 1st story is an older sister who punishes her brat sister, then the roles are reversed. The action is quite hard, and hand, hairbrush and paddle are used. The older sister has one of the most amazing bottoms I ever seen (beware I prefer shapely voluptous bottoms, firm but round - I hate skinny flat ones, so my viewpoint is biased.) Then two amateur girls are enticed into a spanking contest. The spank each other with hand, hairbrush and a largish heavy wooden ruler (more like a rectangular paddle). The brunette girl has a really heavy hand and no mercy, and the cute blond girl gets really pasted. She reciprocates but not as hard, so the brunette wins. Great genuine action I love that ruler, it looks lethal.

They've done it again, "Beach Girl Spankings" is back with a vengeance. In Part 4, two college coeds from the midwest are convinced to participate. The blond girl is reluctant and initially only agreed to come along to keep an eye on her brunette friend, who got 5 minute of OTK spanking followed by 5 min of the hairbrush and 5 minutes of the heavy leather strap. The action was hard and reactions very real. Both girls said they never have been spanked and it showed, since their bums started getting red and bruised quickly. But I get ahead of myself. They finally convince the 2nd girl to try out at least a hand spanking, and guess what, she actually got a bit turned on by it. I don't think it was faked, her reaction was quite real. Then she got the ruler, which quickly made very beautiful bruising marks, little rectangles that decorated her red bum. She was rubbing her pelvis on the stool during the punishment and seemed even more turned on. Finally she got the cane. They couldn't cane her for 5 minutes so they decided on 25 strokes, and she was allowed to call for each one so he had time to prepare. I was looking for an old Calstar video but forgot the name, so it took almost a year and three wrong titles (which were forgetful) before I got what I was looking for "The punishment of Julia". You can tell by the effort I took that it should be pretty good. As I mentioned before, most of the Calstar videos in the late 1980's were quite weak and fake, but this is an exception. The video is very short, only about 21 minutes, but it wastes no time. A madam is furious that one of her girls Julia is not satisfying her clients, so she decides to "train her" with some CP. After a brief but crisp warmup spanking, they go directly to the cane. The caning gets progressively harder, and Julia is positioned in very revealing positions as she gets caned. The strokes are medium severe but she marks up quite well. Then you see two more short canings, the last only with about 8 strokes but each one was hard. More closeups of a well marked bottom, very rare in the early days. Though not as long and involved as future 3rd generation Calstar videos it is still a classic and a joy to watch.

Calstar has a more recent video called "Dry Run", where a guy convinces two girls in his employ to participate in a caning contest in exchange for a pay raise. He first wanted to give them a dry run practice at his house, and each girls gets soundly caned. The guy has a long ponytail and is a regular of Calstar, and recently has been more involved in caning only videos. Just as well because usually his hand and strap punishments are weak. But in this case each girl gets a nice sound warmup with a leather paddle, but the kicker is the cane. Both girls claimed to received 60 strokes. It may be an exaggeration but even though I didn't count both got plenty. The last dozen were pretty hard, and both girls had very nice welts on their bums. They were pretty cute too, and very familiar to Calstar fans. This is a nice video for caning fans.

Talking about intensity, I saw a very interesting Pacific Force video called "spanked within an inch of her life", where the usually spanking hostess is now interviewing a CP couple who want to have a session taped. The girl is an OK brunette with braces, which was distractive, but the action was quite incredible. After some discussion on their CP philosophy, which made it more "real", the couple got on a big way. The girl got spanked, paddled real hard with various paddles, and otherwise really pasted from her ass to the top of her knees until her whole rear was literally blistered, though you could still see that she was acclimatized to it because a newbe would have been bleeding by now. Anyhow the grand finale was really cool because the guy used not one but TWO rattan canes simultaneously in a rapid bastinado fashion to cane her, like he was beating a drum, and occasionally one of the strokes would be extra hard. By now her bottom was already well warmed up so not many tramlines formed but it definitely was a severe caning. All through the session there were lots of images of the girl's expressions, for those fans who like to see that, and they were very geniune, and the chemistry of the couple was incredibly sincere and intense. It is great for people who think that CP fans cannot also be hot lovers too, that this is only some freaky crazy thing. You can see all throughout that though the action was hard there was no violence or rage or insult or psychological abuse, it was less violent than a wrestling match, though the girl's really red and glowing ass was witness to the discipline she lovingly received and accepted. It is worth watching in terms of "reality" CP TV.

First, a dissapointment (sort of). I bought Rigid East's new production RGE-12, "Detention House", hoping it would follow its successful formula from "Reform school 2" and "wild party". Certainly the pictures looked nice, suggesting 5 girls getting spankings and canings. When I got the video, it showed 5 fairly attractive girls arrive at some place, check in, then get OTK spankings one at a time, then get caned. One of the girls, a blond had a gorgeous bottom and even though the hand spankings were only OK (not much compared to British or even US spankings), I had high hopes. Trouble started with the last girl being spanked. She kept struggling and seemed really unwilling. I know that reality is some people really don't like CP, that't not news, but then they shouldn't be in the video, it distracts from the whole scene and decreases the intensity. This is not just exaggerated acting, the girl was giving the spanker a really hard time. This bode ill for the video, and sure enough for the caning that problem girl was up first and really received the lightest of taps, but still she struggled mightily and kept being manhandled. At that point they might as well have bound and gagged her for all it helped. This made the whole caning session diluted and the girls following it all received fairly light treatment except girl number 4, who seemed to be a pro and took it quite well, so she got it the hardest. Rigid East doesn't usually show as many close up shots or sophisticated editing so its main strength lies in the intensity and severity of the CP itself, which in this case was only average, so it made the whole video less then outstanding. Hope they do a better job next time.

Another video I bought was pretty good, from Moonglow West " Two for the crop". This stars the delectable Dawn Davies as a errant waitress disciplined by a sexy maitre'd. Great F/F spanking action. Then the chef Ramundo comes in, catches the girls in the act, throws the usual fit and of course wallops the maitre'd with paddle and tawse before finishing her off with the riding crop. When he leaves the angry maitre'd then takes revenge on the wily Dawn and crops her ass over the sofa chair. I really liked the video for the F/F action rather than the M/F action, which was OK, but if you want a really good MW video you should get the sequel " Two more for the crop", which I think I reviewed before. Same format and script, with F/F action to start, very hard paddling and strapping. But now Chef Ramundo crops and canes the first offender, before he turns his attention to his maitre'd ( I don't know her name but she has a gorgeous ass), and gives her quite a hard and extended paddling and strapping before aquainting her with the crop and the cane. The caning action was quite nice in the sequel, and while the original was a "GOOD" CP video, the sequel is a "GREAT" CP video.

I recently review a special video since it is not from a commercial supplier such as Calstar, but from two spanking enthusiasts. If you surf the web you will find a site called "Dallas Spanks Tiki". It is about a couple with an interesting hobby, namely CP. There are some good pictures and web movie clips made by the couple on the website, but you must pay a membership to see them. They also offer a movie called "Tiki's Scorchings". Since it was $79.00 I was originally hesitant to buy it, but after reviewing a short online "trailer" I decided to try it out and it was worth the higher price. The video consists of five parts: in part one Tiki is paddled OTK on her wet bottom by a female friend. It is fairly hard but then the action heats up when her guy Dallas finds them engaging in unauthorized CP play. First he spanks the girlfriend, kind of for fun, then lets the girlfriend use a leather strap on Tiki. Tiki gets it pretty hard now, but it is nothing compared to the strapping Dallas gives her afterwards, it is a very hard one, believe me. Scene two is a simple punishment spanking with Dallas using an unusual instrument, it looks like three strands of wire coat hangers twisted together, and is very whippy but also stiff. He gives Tiki a good hiding with it but unfortunately it didn't leave many marks. The next scene is a fantasy where Tiki is a hotel matre'd with a bad attitude, and her client Dallas gives her an "attitude adjustment" a la OTK spanking and a few swats with a small wooden paddle. Scene four is punishment spanking II, with Tiki getting the most severe belt spanking I've ever seen on video, and I've seen lots. Her bottom is red through and through by the end of this one. Scene five is a great caning short, called "love caning". It is Dallas' birthday and Tiki gives him a cane for a gift and offers her ass for a caning as a show of her love. She gets a nice hard caning by Dallas and the cane breaks three times over her bum into 4 pieces. The caning was intense and must have been painful, unfortunately no marks were shown because no camera person was around to shoot a closeup. (However, on their website is a great picture probably taken right after her caning showing Tiki with a well marked bottom and even a bit of blood on one of her welts.) The final scene has Tiki naked and bent over the side of the bed as Dallas tries out half a dozen leather and wooden implements on her bottom, finishing off with a wooden paddle. Alas he delivered only two hard paddle whacks but I guess you can't blame her because she already got a lot of spanks with the other implements.

I enjoyed this video because it had hard genuine action, but also good chemistry showing the true trust and love between a CP couple, not the deranged psychopathic mutilators the popular media tries to paint CP fans. There is a really good feeling between the two lovers but that doesn't mean Dallas lets Tiki get off easy, which I respect, and the fact he doesn't go overboard either. Of course Tiki also has a fantastic rear that begs to get spanked, which is also very important. This is definitely a collector's item. In addition, in the movie section of their website is a three-part caning video series called " Tiki's Valentine Punishment". Tiki is scolded for misbehavior and gets 60+ strokes of the cane wearing sexy lingerie. This time the camera is up close and catches all the marks in detail, and the action is severe and the reactions great. However, you do need a membership to view the streaming videos and they cannot be downloaded, so you have to decide whether to invest the coin, but it is one of the best caning scenes caught on video.

Another Day at St Stripes Part 1: Miss Robinson

The opening shot of this video has SIX uniformed schoolgirls sitting obediently in pairs along three rows of school desks. I kid you not. Six! I've never seen so many in one film. Devotees of schoolgirl discipline will be frothing at the mouth. The downside is that you only get to see two girls punished in each video. This is a trilogy. One shoot, three films. Good economics or what?

All six schoolgirls have been caught at a niteclub that is strictly out of bounds, and are to be beaten. I recognise most of the girls from previous Red Stripe films, including the lovely plump blonde from New Head Girl. But she's sitting at the back, and doesn't get it until part 3 (I'm guessing!).

Along with the six schoolgirls there are four Disciplinarians: the Head Master and three female teachers. All are experienced Red Stripe regulars. The idea is that the Head Master will oversee the punishment. Each of the three teachers will deal with a pair of schoolgirls.

The first pair have been caught cheating in Miss Robinson's English assignment, as well as the niteclub. Miss Robinson elects to deal with them. The first girl takes her chair to the centre of the room. There Miss Robinson sits on it and puts the naughty girl over her knee. She is a good Dom - tall, thirtyish, strongly built, with a posh voice. She has the aura of a gym instructor at a strict girls' school. She follows the otk spanking with a good strapping (24 strokes) and an adequate caning (18 stokes). All on the bare. The strapping is given bending over, hands on the seat of the chair. The caning is given over the teacher's desk.

What is different about this video is that there are so many people in the room. Five schoolgirls sit quietly as their colleague is beaten. Sometimes they are in shot. Occasionally there is a closeup as one winces, knowing it will soon be her turn. You don't see the other teachers once the spanking starts, but you know they're watching - they have all been introcuced earlier.

This number of people sets up a special atmosphere. A scene with this amount of girls could easily descend into a comedy, but to Red Stripe's credit, they manage to keep it tense here. Done really well, this kind of public flogging could be awesome. There is great potential for emotion, for drama, for humiliation.

The camera work and editing. Oh dear! It's dreadful. Just when you thought they were getting the hang of it, another lame performance from the cameraman knocks the UK CP video back to the mid 1980s. Maybe the big occasion got to him, the sheer number of people present. All those girls! I don't know, but I suspect all three parts of this trilogy are going to suffer from this inadequacy. The editing is almost as bad - no rhythm, no sense of what shot is appropriate for what moment. There are no facial reaction shots, and precious few decent, lingering bottom shots.

Those of you who like to see pussy and anus will be disappointed too. For some reason knickers are only taken down to the top of the thighs, so all those delicious bits remain in shadow. Perhaps some people prefer this, believing it is more authentic.

St Stripes is a great idea. Technically however it is flawed.

This is the best preview video I've seen. It's more than a tease. There's enough material on it for a complete CP experience. There's great variety too. Also - crucially - the shots are quite long - enough to give you a good taste of the action.

Thirty four films are previewed, each clip lasting roughly 1.5 minutes. Each clip is edited to give you a piece of each scene in the video. There are typically ten shot changes in each preview. It's a good format. It includes the original sound - ie, no advertising voiceovers.

At the start it says Nu-West have 200 titles in their catalogue. That's a hell of a lot of CP! I'm guessing that that the 34 films previewed here show off the full range of their list. A wide range of CP interests are covered here, from straightahead otk punishment spanking to some nice special-interest stuff.

Most Nu-West films fall into a few major categories. Positions used for punishment is a good indicator of film type. US videos on the whole are more aware of positions for punishment than UK films. They have an edge in this respect. The positions are broadly these: over the knee; over the end of a bed; over a table (for schoolgirls); tied over a whipping bench or a barrel (for prison or institution videos); tethered to a rope dangling from a ceiling (for videos with a bondage slant).

There is a lot of old-fashioned otk punishment spanking here. About ten of the titles in this preview are dedicated to this kind of action. They have names like: Katie's punishment Spanking; Heidi's punishment spanking; Julie spanks Cass, Vanna spanks Julie; Ed Lee spanks Betty and Anna. The set is usually simple: a chair, or a chair and a bed, in a bare white studio. Bare white studios are unique to US CP videos. Sometimes I like it, sometimes not.

Over the end of the bed, with pillows under the tummy, is another classic position. Nu-West do this stuff very well, perhaps better than anybody else, or as well as the classic British Roue and Blushes videos from the 1980s. It's different here but just as good in its own way. This over-the-bed domestic discipline is great fun with heavy sexual overtones. I love it. Titles of this nature previewed here are Please Daddy!; Joanne and Karen: whipped asses; Afterhours punishment. There is also a great specialist title here that focusses on this interest: Awaiting punishment. It feature girls awaiting punishment. Lots of gorgeous girls lying obediently over the ends of their beds, pillows under their tummies, panties down, waiting for their spanking. Lovely.

The third category represented here is prison or institutional punishment. Here the girls are secured over special whipping blocks, horses, barrels and the like. Again, American films do this well. The emphasis is on authority, obedience and helplessness. The beatings may not be severe, but the humiliation factor is high and the atmosphere is good. These videos tend to feature from three to six girls. I love them. Titles previewed here are: CP in Women's Institutions #5; Company disciplinarian; Over the Barrel; Pantyhose Punishment; Woodshed Discipline.

Next category is based around humiliation. Again, these are often institutional in setting. Enemas and dildo abuse feature heavily. They can be really exciting. Julia's Prison Farm and Julia's girls: Ginger are previewed here and look great. I'd like to get hold of both.

Other interesting titles include: Mature Women get caned too; Amateur Hour Tape 2 (home-filmed otk with fingering); and Nu-West Photo Video Numbers one and two (stills of women being punished). The titles say it all. The Mature Women title looks great. The bondage end of CP doesn't interest me much. It is represented here with: Jaque; and Ed's Place - Kelli Raye.

Two of the videos previewed here I've seen in full: Debra's naughty Student and Debra: beautiful, blond and severely caned. The caning in the second one is quite hard, but I preferred Debra's Naughty Student. The student is a big girl of mixed race, who is delightfully submissive. She gets a good caning lying over a table.

This Preview tape runs for about 40 minutes. It is good value, specially if you haven't seen many of the films before. There's enough to send you to sleep with a smile on your face. In addition to this, you get a good idea of what Nu-West are about, and what to look out for. I recommend it.

Cane on the Wall shows how good Rigid East are at making CP videos. The video consists of the usual round of otk spanking, strapping and caning - but the way they weave these elements into a sophisticated film with a story, with suspense, with drama, with variety, is hugely uplifting. It is also a lesson to other film makers. It shows there are artists out there who care enough to make something worthwhile. Good plotting and editing are the basics of film making, and Rigid East have put them to good use in this superior CP video.

The film starts with a slate showing the time and the date - and a girl's name: Alenka.

The first scene opens with a naked girl walking into her bedroom carrying a cane and a nighdress. She is snivelling. She hangs the cane up on the wall and crosses out some lines on a wallchart - cane strokes. She then kneels on her bed, applying some cream to her bottom before lying down on her tummy and cuddling her teddybear. She is in tears. The camera hovers over her buttocks and opened thighs and we see she has been caned. Great opening!

The slate comes up again: it's half an hour earlier.

Alenka is in her bedroom removing her street clothes. She is a tall, slim girl with dark hair cut boyishly short. She has a shaved pussy. She is interesting and attractive, but not classically beautiful. She puts on a simple white nightdress, or is it a punishment gown? She consults the wallchart and counts the strokes. Then she takes the cane down from the nail on the wall.

Next we are in another room where a man sits at a table reading a letter and looking at photos of a girl's bare behind. Is it Alenka's or his next visitor's? Alenka comes in and hands him the cane. She kneels before him to plead.

The slate comes up again. It is three days earlier.

We are outdoors, and the man is marching Alenka into the house by the ear. I don't know what she has done, but she's in trouble. It's only now that the spanking begins. A great deal of tension has been generated before we get to this point. This is quality.

I won't go into every detail of what follows. The spanking and belting is beautifully shot. All the right angles are used with plenty of facial shots. Pussy and anus aplenty. A nice touch is when Alenka is made to go upstairs for a pee before being caned. It generates yet more tension and we hear the tinkle and see her wipe herself. She is naked for the caning, bent over a chair. It is quite hard, given in three doses. We see and hear lots of crying. The camera is there; alert; active.

There is a rawness to Alenka's reactions that may not be to everybody's taste. Her face contorts and she cries liberally during punishment. It is not always 'pretty'. Her behind is well lined, reddened and swollen by the time she is dismissed.

Fans of hard-edged domestic discipline will love this film. It is extremely well shot, and very cleverly edited. If you get a chance to see this film, don't miss it.

To many CP enthusiasts the name Rigid East is already a legend. Films made by this company have a unique realism. They are very powerful. Although they have produced less than a dozen original films to date, Rigid East has set a new standard in the industry.

Once you've seen a Rigid East video other movies can seem tame and predictable. Most people remember their first Rigid East film. Mine was Rural Schoolmaster, and it completely blew my mind. I couldn't understand a word being said, because I don't speak Czech, or is it Russian?, but that made no difference. The camera, the locations, the costumes, the vibe, and above all the girls, told me everything I needed to know. This is CP of a very high calibre.

Rigid East films began appearing in London a few years ago (1997-8), and were known as the 'Russian films'. Everybody wanted them. We now know they come from Prague in the Czech Republic - a country with a spanking tradition at least as strong as that in Britain, Russia or the United States. I suspect they have a rich CP literature also, which I hope one day will be translated into English.

Enthusiasts brought up on a diet of British and American CP videos will appreciate the quality of Rigid East's material. I have mentioned the realism. There is a compelling menace behind the action that is all their own. The films generate a lifelike atmosphere of pending punishment - something rarely achieved in UK or US films. Your pulse rate will rocket and yoiur emotions will soar.

Is this real? I doubt it. But the power relationships between girls and their masters/mistresses is here less artificial than normal. It seems authentic, unacted - and is rare in UK and US CP. Perhaps it is something in the culture of central and eastern Europe that we have lost in the west. Some people may talk of exploitation... but they level that charge at Playboy. I only know these films bristle with authentic CP credibility.

The only UK videos that come close to this kind of credibility are the Roue and Blushes classics of the 1980s. But they don't have the same dark electricity of Rigid East.

The camerawork and editing in these Czech videos is good too. Not in a big-budget Hollywood way. But it is confident, artistic and intelligent. Those doing it have flair, and an understanding of film making. They know how to generate suspense and drama. They are also in tune with the rhythm of the CP viewer's desire.

Two young women face a strict regime at the house of a rural schoolmaster.

It's not in English, so some of the plot details and the relationships between the characters remain obscure to me. But this takes nothing away from this CP classic.

The opening scene has a tall blonde girl with long legs and a short dress walking in the countryside towards a rustic building. She is carrying a suitcase. She hesitates before knocking on the door of the cottage. She looks worried and reluctant.

This girl is striking. The term willowy blonde does not do her justice. How they got her to do this film I don't know. She belongs on the catwalk rather than on the receiving end of an ageing roue's cane. But that very anomaly gives this film extra spice. You immediately feel voyeuristic and slightly guilty that such a specimen is going to be smacked before your very eyes. Wonderful. Her beauty resonates not with glamour, money or confidence, but with vulnerability. She seems troubled. You want to reach into the screen and take her in your arms. She has one of those faces that gets prettier in distress. She needs comforting, and we're the boys to do it. Right?

It's entirely possible she enjoyed making this film. If she did, she's a good actress. On the opening credits of my copy it says (in English?) that this is a 'genuine' CP video made willingly by spanking enthusiasts, and that the idea for it was 'suggested by one of the girls'. Fair enough. I wonder if it was the blonde. Maybe she models during the day.

She's met at the door by the schoolmaster, who brings her to his wife - or is it the matron? Here we meet the second girl in this film. She too is special, but in a very different way. She is a Russian peasant girl par excellence. Much shorter and darker than the blonde, she has wide flat features and wears her brown hair in two pigtails. But she is attractive too, with a nice body. She wears a simple short smock and pumps. She has obviously been at the house for a while.

At a word from the matron/wife she raises her smock and pulls down her panties to show her bottom. It is nicely plump... and bruised. We also see that her pussy has been shaved. She is hand-spanked by the matron. Then it's the blonde's turn. She too has been shaved, and has the most beautiful pair of pouting little cunt lips I've seen for a while. There is at least one good close up. She too is spanked otk.

The master returns to take the blonde to another room for inspection. You will notice a gynaecologist's chair in the background and you will sigh in expectation. He examines her hair for fleas, then her ears and her teeth. She is made to strip. A decent amount of humiliation to savour. Then he asks her to sit on the gynaecologist's chair and put her legs in the stirrups. She does. The schoolmaster comes back wearing surgical gloves and carryig probes and a roll of paper. The camera zooms to the blonde's apprehensive face before cutting to the next scene. In an ideal world I'd like to have seen some of this examination. But the point has been well made, and the tension has been ratcheted up a few notches.

The peasant girl is spanked and caned by the matron in the next scene. She too is stripped naked. Then we're back with the schoolmaster and the blonde. She is ordered to lie on a couch where she is belted. She gets it on the hands too.

Next it's bedtime, and the two girls are in a makeshift dormitory with bunkbeds. They show each other their bottoms before going to bed. The master comes in, makes them get out to take off their underpants. He comes back again, and this time canes the blonde as she kneels on the floor and rests her upper body on an upright chair. She spreads her thighs, so you get pussy and anus shots. It looks sore rather than severe - about 24 strokes. Great shots of her tearful martyred face.

The final scene has the master fetching the peasant girl out of bed by her ear. She is taken to the room with the couch. She is in tears but sits obediently as she is groped by the master. The final shot shows him unzipping his trousers. We are left to guess the rest.

This is among the most powerful CP films I have seen. The spanking action itself is not that severe; indeed, sometimes it is clumsy and rushed. But the atmosphere, the girls, and the camera are excellent. It captures brilliantly the darkness and exploitation that can lie behind CP. The Rural Schoolmaster may not be to everybody's taste, but I would recommend it as a classic of its type.

I'm not sure if Rural Schoolmaster was originally made in two parts. I'm not even sure if this film is Rural Schoolmaster. Whatever the case, it features the same lovely blonde girl as Rural Schoolmaster, and has a similar atmosphere.

As with part 1 it starts with the blonde standing outside a door afraid to knock. She is holding a note. She is dressed simply, in skirt, blue blouse, white ankle socks and shoes. Finally she plucks up enough courage to knock.

Once inside she hands over a note to a man sitting behind a desk. He looks about sixty. He checks some details about her in his notebook. Again, English is not spoken and I can't quite figure out the situation. Perhaps he's the head teacher at the school. But he has a bed in his office? He's obviously in authority. The blonde is frightened of him.

He makes her strip down to her underpants. She has nice tits. While spanking the blonde over his knee there is another knock at the door. This time a brunette enters, also holding a note. She has her hair in pigtails and is dressed simply in a short summer dress. She is slim and quite attractive.

The blonde is put in the corner, naked, while he deals with this new arrival. She too is stripped (both girls are shaved) and paddled over a chair. Then the blonde is retrieved, and tawsed with hands and feet on the floor. There are glimpses of pussy and anus throughout. She ends up in tears.

The girl in pigtails is then put on the bed, on her back, and made to masturbate. The man gropes her. She is then made to grip behind her knees and bring her legs up to her breasts. He fingers her some more - her pussy and anus - but the camera doesn't quite catch it. He canes her in this position too before turning her over. This video is similar to the first part of Rural Schoolmaster, but not quite as good. It is all filmed in one small room. The camera tries, but doesn't have enough space to get a good variety of angles. The discipline itself is not that hard, but the atmosphere is taut and nervy. If an important part of your CP fantasy involves the excercise of power, even the abuse of power, then this is for you. Indeed, all Rigid East videos are for you. I recommend this one.

Reform School 2 (AKA Russian Reforms)

This is set in a reform school for girls. Many CP devotees regard Russian Reforms as the best CP film yet made. I would find it difficult to argue with them. It has the tense atmosphere of all Rigid East productions. The camera work and editing are both artistic and professional. Added to this, Russian Reforms has a variety of scenes, and has four girls to savour.

There is a connection between Russian Reforms and A Good Neighbour: the blonde girl of the latter film is now at reform school. She is taken there by her mother, who signs her in. This is the basic plot of Russian Reforms.

The opening scene shows a girl in a bedroom hastily removing her reform school uniform. She is a slim brunette of medium height. She is watche dover by a woman in her 40s, who turns out ot be the governess of the reformatory. The uniform is fantastic. It looks authentic. It consists of a pyjama-style top and bottom in stripes of skyblue and white. The top part buttons up the front and has a white collar, while teh bottoms are elasticated at the waist and come down to mid calf. All the girls wear them.

Beneath the uniform is plain white underclothes: a white vest, white knickers, and knee-length white socks. No bras are worn. Simple white plimsole pumps adorn the feet.

The girl is removing her uniform because she is to be punished. Down to her underclothes she kneels on the bed with her bottom in the air and her head to the sheet. The governess pulls down her panties and pushes up her vest to expose her tits. She handspanks her. It is quite hard, and the girl whimpers - well over 100 smacks. What sets the pulse racing here is the no-nonsense approach. It is a factor throughtout the film. This girl knows the routine in reform school and what's expected of her. She might not like it, but she knows she has to present her behind for punishment when ordered to do so. There is no dawdling and no questioning.

She stands and places her hands on the sheet. Time for the cane. Teh first six are given quickly and are pretty fierce. She takes over 20 in all, but it seems more with repetition of shots from different angles. (I don't have a problem with this.) It is a pretty severe caning and her arse is striped and swollen. There are areas of white along the weals, but purple and red prevail. We see it very close up. She sobs, and sounds a very contrite girl when it's over.

Outside a woman walks with her daughter along a suburban street. She holds her by the hand. It is the mother and daughter from A Good Neighbour. They go into a house - the reformatory. The door is answered by another girl in uniform. Once inside teh mother and daughter witness the final part of the girl's caning over the bed. Now they know what kind of institution this is. The governess calls to one of her assistants - a man in his 40s - and hands him the bamboo. He then takes the sobbing and protesting girl away - for another beating?

The tension mounts. We are in the governess' office. Papers are signned and mother departs. The tiny blonde is now in reform school. The governess calls one of the other girls. She is sent away and comes back with a folded uniform for the new girl and a sealed bag. what's this? She then calls for another of her male assistants. He too is in his 40s or 50s.

With instructions from the governess he begins punishing the tiny blonde. He is not in uniform yet. She wearsthe same short black skirt and white top as in A Good Neighbour. She holds up her skirt at the front while he smacks the front of her thighs. Then she leans over his thigh to have her bottom hand-spanked. Both remain standing for this. She wears white knickers with a pattern and a lacy fringe. It is a prolonged spanking. When it is over she is told to strip. She has a shaved pussy and nice breasts. The is constantly is interesting, giving you new and exciting views.

She must roll up his shirtsleeve before he straps her. First it's twenty on each hand. Then she is moved to the corner of a desk and told to lean over. The governess takes her hands. Now her bottom and thighs get it. It is a thick leather belt folded over. It is hard. We get great views again - low angles and facials aplenty. She winces and struggles when the belt catches the backs of her thighs. But she is held fast.

A halt is finally called to the strapping by the governess. Now she hands the sealed bag to the assistant and gives him instructions. He opens the bag and dons a surgical glove. The girl is told to lean over and spread her thighs. The assistant squats down behind her. Using one hand to open her cheeks, he probes her vagina with his gloved hand. We don't get a closeup of this. He makes some announcement and the girl protests. We of course know from her previous film that the 'good neighbour' popped her cherry after caning her. I don't know what the reform school makes of this state of affairs - I don't speak Czech.

The blonde puts on her new uniform and is taken upstairs by one of the other girls. On entering the dormitory the blonde finds the girl who was caned earlier lying face down on her bed sobbing. Her uniform and panties are halfway down her thighs. Her bottoms is still badly marked. This is a lovely touch, and I wish we could have lingered here a little longer. But the excitement level has soared. The blonde sits on her own bed.

Next scene is punishment hour. Four girls line up in uniform with hands on their heads. The governess and her two assistants enter. the girls who was caned has her uniform taken down and her bottom inspected by the governess. It is decided she will not be punished. Each of the other three strip to panties and vests and are taken by a member of staff. They are hand-spanked otk, over panties and on the bare. The camera gives a good sample of what's going on. It is a long spanking session - well into three figures. The sore girls dress when it's over.

We're now at another punishement hour. Three girls are present. A long low table had been cleared and set before the governess and her assistants. A blanket has been spread over it. The tiny blonde, in uniform and pigtails now, is called forward. She stips to her white socks and is told to lie on her back along the table. One assistant lifts her ankle right up, spreading them apart. The governess holds her hands. A birch is produced from a table holding many implements. From beneath the table he ties them off, one across the back of her thighs, the other across the small of her back. Her hands are held by the other assistant. The blonde is now birched across her bottom, but is unable to struggle because of the constraining straps - another 30 strokes. She is now learning what reform school is all about. The twigs leave their trademark imprint of speckled rubies. But it is not a severe birching. Untied, she shows her bottom to the governess. She is told to kneel down facing the wall.

A tall slim brunette is next. She strips and lies face-down over the bolster. She has a full thatche of dark pubic hair between her legs. The straps secure her to the table, and her hands are held by an assistant. The other canes her. She takes about 20 hard, fast strokes - although it seems more with repeats. If if were to nitpick here, I would say that the camera and editing could have been better in this punishment scene. but it is a minor quibble given the quality of this material.

A third girl is called forward - another pigtailed brunette of medium height. She too has her slim frame tied over the table with her bottom raised for the bamboo. Her hands are held and she is caned. The governess intervenes at one point to show the assistant exactly how hard she wants the strokes. Hard. After about 35 with some nice whimpering she shows her whipped rear to the governess. She kneels with the others facing the wall.

The blonde is again called forward and tied belly-down over the table. It is worth mentioning that she has a very cute behind - apple-shaped with a nice back-thrust. After some consultation she is beaten with a vicious-looking dark-coloured cane. She counts the final 25 strokes, and they are blistering lashes. Again she presents her behind to the governess once untied.

An end is called to the punishments, and the girls are told to dress and leave. It is wonderful watching them put on and remove these uniforms. There is plenty of it in the video.

In a corridor we see the whipped girls come through a glass door. Each goes into a different bedroom and shuts the door behind her. The members of staff follow along the corridor. Here they bid each other goodbye. Each goes into a room occupied by a girl. We can guess what the male assistants have in mind.

The final scene is in the bedroom of the governess. The third brunette had entered that room. She is given some instructions by the governess. We see her pretty face closeup as she begins to strip. She looks slighly alarmed. In only plain white underpants and white socks she kneels on the bed and puts her head to the sheets. The governess peels the panties down her thighs. She is made to part her knees widely. The camera gets right behind, low down. With thighs spread and cheeks parted we are treated to her tight anus and open cunt lips. Six hard strokes are delivered before we fade to black. This shot should finish you off nicely, if you've somehow managed to hold out this long. ;)

Russian Reforms really is a special piece of work, even by the standards of Rigid East. The doms are excellent. Where in some of their other videos the dominants can be a touch hasty and rash, there is a prevailing calm here. The governess is softly-spoken and serene. She controls everything, and she paces it beautifully.

The attitude of the girls is astonishing. Where do they get them? They are submissive and obedient, but still manage to project a personality. They are completely natural in front of the camera. It isalmost as thought there is no acting taking place. Hats off to these Czech girls!

Fans of institutional CP will be gobsmacked by Russian Reforms. All the elements of the genre are here, and it is done without compromise. No US or BRitish outfit can compete with this kind of performance. There is conviction and style in every aspect of it.

All my rigid east films are treasured possessions, but if I had to keep just one: this would be it. If you haven't seen Russina reforms - get it.

A Good Neighbour is not for the faint-hearted. It is hard-hitting and realistic. It explores domestic corporal punishment and the fantasies that lie behind it.

Some people have felt uncomfortable with the film, and it is easy to understand why. The girl is harshly treated. She has a jail-bait look about her. There is a complicity between mother and the 'good neighbour' that leaves the disobedient girl very isolated. We feel for her.

But this is why the video is so powerful. Your sense of guilt is triggered. The film dares you to look at something dark - throught the peephole of the camera. It awakens the voyeur in you, and all the sexual excitement associated with that. It attempts to put on screen the fantasy of punishing the girl next door. This is an honest film, and a sophisticated one.

The scene opens in the dining room of a house. A mother searches through cupboards and drawers. She can't find what she's looking for. We dissolve to a hallway where a schoolgirl comes through the front door. She removes her shoes before being called by her mother. She is wearing a short black skirt, knee-length white socks and a white top. The girl is questioned by her mother, no doubt about the missing item.

Let me describe this schoolgirl. She is tiny, no more than 4'11", with blonde hair in two pigtails. If you're as old as I am you'll remember the female gymnasts from the eastern bloc countries. They won all the olympic medals during the 70s and 80s. They were tiny, slim girls with serious faces. The girl in A Good Neighbour looks like one of these gymnasts. She moves like one and holds herself like one.

If alarm bells are ringing - fear not. When the camera zooms in on her face and eyes you'll see she is over eighteen - difinitely and adult.

After questioning her the angry mother puts the schoolgirl over her knee for a hard hand-spanking. First over the skirt, then with skirt raised. She wears white knickers with a pattern of blue flowers. the spaning is well paced. There's a lot of harsh dialogue here, but I don't understand it and you don't need to. Standing up again, the schoolgirl has her knickers taken down. She is shaved between her legs, and has a very tine slit. The camera work is excellent, with pans up and down her legs and various closeups. The hand-spanking continues on the bare.

Eventually the girl is told to stand up and remove her skirt. She is left standing in the kitchen while the mother fetches the good neighbour.

The neighbour is probably in his 30s. He is quite tall and strongly built. He enters to find the tiny girl standing in her knickers, white socks and top. He talks to her about her misdemeanour. Mother hands him a woodenspoon from a kitchen drawer. He sits on the sofa, takes down the girl's knickers, and puts her across his lap.

What follows with the wooden spoon is the clumsiest beating I have seen on video. That said, it may be the most realistic - given the haphazard nature of domestic corporal punishment. He lands over fifty smacks on the girl's bare behind, almost all of them on the same area of one small buttock. You want to shout at him to stop. He seems unaware of what he's doing. Or is he? He has a firm grip on the girl, who just has to take it. The result is one very badly bruised buttock. In a way this blights the film. You are aware of this tender spot for the remainder - as is the neighbour, who has to avoid aggravating it further.

The girl is told to go upstairs to fetch the cane. The camera follows her up. The natural light of the hallway shows how badly marked that lower buttock is. It is a deep purple. One vicious cane stroke and the skin will break. We are right behind her as she climbs the stairs to her room. Gingerly she rubs her bottom on the way.

Downstairs the adults talk.

Back on the stairs the girl emerges from her room with a straight-handled cane. She doesn't look too happy. We follow her down. She hands the stick to her mother, but it is the neighbour who ends up wielding it. She is over his knee again, this time counting the cane strokes. After seven she is told to stand and remove her top. She wears no bra, and had nicely shaped good-sized tits.

She kneels on the couch now, leaning forward while mother holds her hands. Again she has to count the strokes. Given the state of her right buttock, the neighbour concentrates on the left one. Somehow this seems unfair, but it does add to the dark atmosphere. The strokes are whippy and sore. You hear the catch in her voice as she counts them - about 30 cuts.

Again she is ordered upstairs to her room. The camera follows her up to her door. The neighbour decides it's time he went up too. Alone downstairs the mother puts a whiskey flask to her lips for a few deep draughts. The girl is lying face-down on her bed. The camera is excellent throughout this sequence. It adds psychological depth and generates atmosphere. It also provides and interlude before the final scene.

The neighbour enters the bedroom flexing the cane. He starts to molest the schoolgirls tits as she sits on her bed, trying to protect them with her hands. He makes her kneel on the bed with face in the covers for more with the cane. She faces both ends of her bed. Again she has to count, and we hear tears in her voice.

She lies on her back now, gripping behind the knees. She is caned again, plenty landing on the backs of her thigs. She can't hold the position, but he makes her do so. The caning is hard. She is in distress. We see lots of pussy and anus throughout this bedroom scene. Plenty of facial shots also. Finally she is told to kneel in the corner. Closes shots as she cups her beaten behind.

You expect this to be the closing shot of the movie. Wrong. The neighbour drapes a pillow over the rail at the foot of her bed. the schoolgirl, wearing only white knee-length socks, lies over it. You pray for scenes like this. The caning continues. Lots of prolonged closeups, including impacts. Anus and pussy galore. Low angles too. It seems she is made to count every stroke. This is a good strategy here as it keeps her voice involved in the film. (Although in most films I get very bored with the 'ten thankyou sir' routine.)

Now it's time to inspect the damage. Neighbour sits on a chair while the girl shows him her caned bottom - she has had over 100 strokes. She is turned about a few times. Satisfied, he leads her back to the bed, where he again bends her over the pillow on the rail. His back to the camera, the neighbour undoes his trousers and comtemplates the vulnerable whipped bottom before him. His intentions are clear. It's a question of which orifice.

Downstairs, mother reads a magazine. She hears a scream from upstairs - her daughter. She is alarmed at first, but decides it's nothing to worry about. She carries on reading.

A Good Neighbour takes the CP video into unchartered territory. It shows a lot and suggests even more. It is singularly the most powerful spanking film I've seen - although not the most erotic. If it is uncomfortable to watch at times it is because it forces us to look at our fantasy 'in real life'. Is this what it looks like? Could you do it? Or would you prefer just to watch? We might not thank Rigid East for posing these questions. But A Good Neighbour asks them. It's that powerful a film. These questions don't overwhelm the viewing experience, but they run alongside the fantasy being played out on screen.

I think all devotees of CP on video will want to see A Good Neighbour. I can assure you this: you won't forget it.

I first saw this excellent video some years after it had appeared. It emerged from the same stable that produced Roue magazine, where advertisements for it were prominent. The videos schoolgirl character, given the name of 'Lucy Palmer', regularly appeared in photo sets in Roue. She was a 'dead-ringer' for a girl I worked with, though 'Lucy' is taller by about six inches or so.

I have had two copies of this video in my time but unfortunately, both are of poor quality, blurred and rather fuzzy colours. Nothing however can detract from its impact. Lucy is perfect. The sequence when she looks up to see the cane being flexed in front of her eyes is wonderful. I have very nearly worn out my pause control on this one scene! Yet, the video so easily could have been better.

In magazine photosets Lucy usually wore traditional British schoolgirl navy blue knickers, and these would have been much better employed in the video; the contrast of colour and hue between her lovely rounded bum and the dark knickers poised around her knees would have added a marvellous touch, especially as she is made to stand up early in her whacking to pull them down further! My other main criticism is in the spanking episode; she is allowed to put her hands in the way again and again, yet in the (brilliant) cutaway shots of her face Lucy clearly has her arms stretched out in front of her, gripping the table's further edge as she has been told she must. A real mistake was not to have let us have had a few good spanks first without her interventing hands. The caning is very well filmed, and as David has mentioned, is thrilling even when shown from the front! Take our word for it! Lucy deserves a medal from grateful enthusiasts.

The opening scene isn't really much use, though the producers made play of the 'pompous' teacher in their advertisement, so it was part of their script. I would have preferred the whole thing to have been handled by Mr Clark. He has what it takes (lucky boy). The final scene when Lucy is bizarrely (Alright! This is spanking video I know!) asked to kneel on a chair to await the Headmaster is rather creepy. I usually drop it in my own viewing.

It seems the spanking scene is run by people who know nothing about spanking! Roue, of fond memory, were so different. Most now are sex businesses pure and simple, so seemingly try to cash in on broadening out the market with a more fetishistic or international appeal. I do not find chains or baby oil, close-ups for medical students or whips anything but trite or indeed, a turn off. Room 2D was different and for me and I suspect others too, won't be bettered unless someone gives us a camera models etc., to make our own! In your dreams.

Review of Cal Star, Shadow Lane, and Raven Hill Videos

Calstar: A good new video call "Miss Harmon's Caning Heaven Part II" has come out. It is a f/f spanking video with two blond beauties as the recipients. One of them I think is Julie Holmes, interviewed on Februs Magazine and poised to be another Sophie Fennington. The girls both have great asses the receive a good deal of punishment in a green house, including OTK hand spanking, a hard paddling and a pretty intense caning totally naked and on their toes. There are some good close up shots of their welts, and Julies bottom is pretty blistered by the spanking, paddling, and caning, even her thighs. Multiple camera angles were used, a new trend in Calstar videos, and you could tell there was some overlap of strokes so I think both girls only received a dozen or so, but the overall video is still quite severe.

Another video was called "Prison Officer" and the spanker is the great "Ms. Brown", but in this video she wasn't as severe, probably due to the models, who were both beautiful, especially the 1st one who was exotic, but probably new and had a lower threshold. Anyway I rate this one as fair.

Finally, Calstar recently has rereleased the previously banned "English Discipline Series", but most of the videos are very old Calstar Production with pretty lousy stuff. I bought a couple of the 30 minute videos and was very dissapointed as the action was very diluted and most of the caning was quite pathetic. "First week of the Term" and "Punishment at St. Rules" were both bombs, and worse they used blatantly false advertisement on their box covers that depicted scenes not even from the enclosed videos. I bought by mail so I couldn't tell, but unfortunately one cannot sue them over this. My recommendations are very few from this new pool of videos, the exceptions being the superbly made "Lisa must be Caned", "Marigold Academy", "The Corporal Punishment Trilogy", that's about it. One good video that wasn't rereleased was "It Hurts to Remember", which had plenty of severy f/f caning in it. Too bad.

Shadow Lane: I have not been impressed by most of the recent Shadow Lane videos, or the magazine for that matter, it is a shell of the first three issues. But I bought some oldies on a whim and got a couple of good ones, "Naughty Secretary's Week", and "Spoiled Rotten".

"Naughty Secretary's Week" featured two girls getting a hard hand spanking, then one getting a hairbrush spanking and another a belting. The action was intense, not extremely severe but very sincere and well done, and the chemistry between the participants were pretty good. There is some really hard OTK hand spanking in this video that is admirable.

"Spoiled Rotten" stars the gorgeous ex-adult anal star Tanya Fox, who is great at playing the role of naught, horny minx just asking and begging for a spanking, and she knows how to milk each CP scene for all it is worth. She also has a nice round but tight butt perfect for application of strap, hairbrush, paddle and hand, all of which were used by Keith Richards in the well directed and nicely paced video, a definite recommendation for people who enjoy the scripting as well as the action.

Raven Hill Studios: this is another American Company I was somewhat dissapointed, until I bought three tapes from them, all of which were good. The first was "Resolved by Corporal Punishment", a supposed real-life scenario where a girl guilty of writing a bad check chose CP over going to court, and received an OTK hand spanking, hairbrush spanking and a 25 stroke caning over a table. The girl was OK but had a great bottom, and the action was good, though not quite severe for the hand spanking, which lasted 10 minutes. The hairbrush spanking was pretty hard, however, and left clear bruises on her ass. The caning was crisp but only the final 5 strokes were really hard, but there was some weals and very good reaction. I think it is all you can expect from an amateur who isn't into the scene, and she took it well with only a few tears.

What I like most from the Raven Hill videos is their "real life" spanking scenarios where they would proposition girls on the beaches are wherever and get them to take a spanking, often quite severe for a financial reward. The best of this series is "Beach Girl Spankings 2 and 3", where some cute nubile girls got pretty harsh hairbrush spankings, the wooden ruler, leather strap and flail and wooden paddle for a measly $500. It is hard to believe but that is the power of money.

A new video "Great American Spanking Roadshow 2" was another amiable addition to the reality series in spades. The 1st scene involves Terry, the director, giving a pretty Kentucky chick a good OTK spanking, hairbrush spanking, and a stinging caning in an RV. The action is intense, not quite severe, but again very real, and the atmosphere was overall friendly and casual, and you could tell the girl had a good time though her butt was sore. The next scene was really mindboggling because it involded a mother who disciplined her 18 yr old daughter on tape. They met her bitching about needing to spank her misbehaving daughter and they followed her home, where she confronted her beautiful but unruly teenage daughter, and they had a big argument which end with the daughter over the knee for a good spanking. It was very Jerry Springer like but didn't seem at all fake or contrived, and you could tell this was a common occurence because when the daughter was giving lip the mother threatened her with the spoon, and the daughter immediately fell very silent for a minute, you could see she was quite familiar with that implement. In fact later on the daughter was still rebellious, so she got a good dose of the plastic spoon. At first because the sound was not very good you would think that the mother was not spanking her daughter hard, but then the camera panned in close on the girls bare bottom and you could see at least 10 distinct oval spank marks made by the spoon on the side of one of her cheeks, attesting to the effect of the spoon. Finally, the mother was fed up and told her daughter to get a switch, and the daughter grumbled but went outside and got a nice springy one, then had to strip it of leaves and bent over a chair bare bottom for 20 strokes of the switch, which she had to count out. The first 10 we saw from behind and the mother was laying it on hard and there were some nice stripes, but later on the camera changed angle to the sobbing and crying daughter expression as she got her licking. Though somewhat dissapointed for not seeing more of her behind under the rod, the facial expressions and sincere tears of the errant daughter were priceless. It was the most truthful and intense "real" spanking footage I ever saw, a real classic for anyone who appreciates the psychology the goes with CP and wants to see the real thing instead of actors. It is highly recommended.

The next video is "County Sherriffs Bad Girl Spanking 3", which has three attractive girls on some prison farm discipline for various offenses. Two of the girls get a lenghty and hard OTK spanking by a female prison guard, who later sears their bottoms with a large rectangular wooden brush. The hairbrush spankings were one of the most severe that I've seen, and especially the first girls bottom was bruised and blistered completely at the end of it. The third girl got off mildly with only OTK spanking and three paddle strokes. Later all three girls were caught trying to filtch pot and got 10 strokes each of the paddle, a large one with holes in it. The paddling was hard but not brutal. The grand finale was when the girls were caught again with drugs and each were sentenced to 25 strokes of the cane. Here is where Raven Hill blatanly copies a SUPERB Rigid East video "Girls Reformatory". The girls are entirely nake and made to lay over a wooden arched block over a long table on their stomaches, and restrained with a belt at thighs and shoulders, then caned, just like in the other video. The caning was crisp and some strokes were hard, but not as severe as the Rigid East video, but the girls reactions were nice, and the angles were good, and the 2nd girl especially had some nice tramlines, but the last girl got no marks though her caning was hard, possibly because her behind was already thoroughly bruised from her previous punshments. The action was intense and well paced, this is one of the best videos from a production company that has very uneven videos, some good and some quite dissapointing. I would also recommend from them "Reform House Punishments 1 and 2" and " The Scorchings at Wentworths".

I just saw this video, intrigued by the photo on the Nu-West web site after clicking on Nu-West spankings (as opposed to the Leda or flogging portion). Of course, Nu-West being an awful marketer of its own products, I had to scroll through umpteen pages of titles before finding the match between the number and the title. (The number was next to the photo.) And the films can only be searched alphabetically by title, not by number. "The" is found under "T."

I digress. The description says that Aunt Julia (Jameson) dresses her naughty niece in various little girl outfits and paddles her. Well, almost. There are three spankings of Katie, who is indeed cute both when dressed and when her skirt is up and panties down. One is in her skirt that's--you guessed it--"too short." The next is in a little girl frilly dress. In the third scene Katie has just come from church and is wearing a floor length dress.

In each costume (only one of which I would classify as "little girl") Katie gets spanked first on her panties with Aunt Julia's hand and over Aunt Julia's lap and then without her dress, but panties still up, while pending over the chair. For $50.00 it wasn't what I expected (I was looking for another version of Aunt Julia's Spanky Time, which I reviewed here previously). Nu-West just doesn't seem to know how to do a sexy spanking video. Julia needs to restrain herself a bit (verbally) and Nu-West needs to deliver what it promises. They certainly don't adequately market their stuff (Note the intense lack of photos on their site and the difficulty of finding anything.). Perhaps, other than for hard-core devotees of hard pain, they are fading away.

In response to a reader's request...I saw one of these at Kinematics on 37th street in NYC (between 5th and Broadway/Avenue of the Americas). Huge collection of kinky videos, including spanking videos of all sorts of producers.

The plot is simple. Three middle-aged women each come across the lap of a tall blonde (younger) woman who paddles them ceaselessly. (Don't quote me on "paddle." It may have been her hand.)

Each woman begins crying and screaming almost immediately and each ends up drooling excessively. It's as if the spanking is simply a vehicle to throw a complete, out-of-control fit (which may be good for all of us once in a while).

Now tears are okay and crying is okay and perhaps some screaming occasionally. But non-stop screaming, drooling from the mouth, and--ohmigod--is her nose running, too? And watching this three times in the same video.

You can put your money to better use, I say.

I prefer the Czech title that appears on the opening credits, 'Marmalada'. I think we could have translated, and it's much more evocative than 'the Jam'.

This is a period piece - the first from Rigid East I believe. It is set in the 19th Century. Somebody had eaten all the jam. Neither of the daughters of the house will admit it, so father decides to punish both.

Fans of old-fashioned costumes and 19th century novels will love this. The two daughters are summoned to a beautifully furnished room in an old house to speak to their father. Each blames the other for eating the jam, so both are to be strapped. One is a tall blonde, the other a brunette. Both have long hair. The brunette goes first.

The girls are wearing magnificent white underclothes, nothing else. We are talking layers of bloomers, petticoats, drawers and bustles. Very sexy. The brunette is told to lie flat across a dining room table. Father then slowly undoes, raises and turns up the various layers of underclothing. This is a wonderful scene. This girl has a lovely behi
