While Red Hot Video has been on the scene for a number of years now, their pay web site is fairly new. From what I gather a lot of the companies are doing more business with their pay web sites than with traditional video sales. I guess Red Hot Video recognized this trend and decided to take advantage of it.

The RHV site is probably the easiest pay web site that I have been to in terms of navigation. Even a monkey without arms would have an easy time getting around it. There is a welcome page with a prominent link to the "help" email address along with a link to the site content. The content page simply lists all of RHV's videos. No confusion, just a link to the video that you want. All of RHV's releases from Volume 4 to Volume 20 are there along with an additional three women who have not been featured in any of the DVD releases. You are probably asking where Volumes 1, 2, and 3 are about now. From what I hear they will never see the light of day because of ownership issues so we will all just have to be content with the other seventeen videos that are available at this writing.

RHV switched how the videos were presented starting at Volume 16. With the earlier videos each of the women's scenes is broken up into four or five parts, each in the 5 - 10 MB range. The quality is OK, but is definitely not DVD quality. From Volume 16 on, broadband users can select to download the whole movie as one file. The quality of these downloads is much better and you get the whole movie. RHV does not restrict your usage of the files you download from them. Once you have them on your computer, they are yours to keep. I definitely like this approach much better than the streaming or limited viewing time approaches.

The only area where the RHV site falls short is with the pictures. For those who enjoy galleries, you are out of luck. I imagine that the lack of galleries is tied to how RHV shoots their videos. From what I can tell their shoots are a one or two man job and they don't have anyone shooting stills. Of course that is fine by me. I really hate seeing a flash going off during a video anyways. Nothing breaks the mood faster than outside interference.

Even without the galleries, the RHV paysite is well worth one month's admission. I really liked having the ability to download any of the videos that they sell on DVD as well as the access to the three unreleased actresses. I did not go into details on the content of the videos in this review because I feel that the material is already well covered in my reviews of their videos.
